Used MAXUS Deliver 9 Vans for Sale

We run three of these on parcel work. Bought them because the price was right, mine was about 10 grand less than an equivalent Transit, and the 5 year 125k warranty looked good on paper. Reality has been mixed at best. Ive had driveshafts go on all three, gearbox trouble on two and injector problems on mine, and the worst was needing an engine at 120k. The warranty is only any use if you can find a dealer who will actually do the work and that was the real headache. Fuel is about 28 mpg which is roughly what its meant to do, so no complaints there, and the kit levels are genuinely good for the money - aircon, reversing camera and a big screen all standard. The killer is resale. I put two 120k examples through auction and got £3,500 and £4,000. Nobody wants them. Would i buy again, probably not.

Bought a 23 plate L3H2 for the landscaping business after reading a load of horror stories, so i was a bit nervous handing the money over. 34k on it now and touch wood its been fine, only thing ive replaced is a worn drivers seat bolster. Someone on a forum reckoned Maxus quietly change bits every year so a newer one is mechanically better even though it looks identical, and that seems about right from my experience. Ride is genuinely good, soaks up bad roads even when empty, and the mirrors are massive which helps no end. Payload is 1215kg which covers everything i need and the load area is a proper size. Getting just over 30 mpg on the computer. Engine is agricultural though, sounds like a tractor from cold, and the service interval is short compared to others so your in the garage more often. For the money i cant really complain. Just dont expect much back when you come to sell it.
