Its a Crafter in a different suit, watch the cam belt
Ran a 3.140 MWB high roof on multi drop for four years. To drive its brilliant, honestly the most car like big van ive had, quiet on the motorway and comfortable enough to sit in for a ten hour day. Its a Crafter underneath, same factory in Poland, so no real surprises mechanically. Two things soured it though. First, the cam belt is 80k or 4 years whichever comes first and nobody at the service centre ever flagged it to me. Mine let go at 94k and the rebuild came to about 5 grand. Check the paperwork obsessively if your buying one used. Second, the dealers are truck places and vans come last - dropped mine off at 7am once and they hadnt touched it by half three. £376 for an oil change and inspection and they overfilled it, i had to drain a litre out myself to get it back on the max mark. Economy is about 30 mpg in the real world, the 38 they claim is fantasy.
What I liked
Most car-like large van to drive, quiet and comfortable over long days, massive choice of lengths roofs and drivetrains, 30,000 mile service intervals, proven Crafter drivetrain
Could be improved
Cam belt due at 80k or 4 years and easy to miss, real economy nearer 30 mpg than the claimed 38, van customers come second to the HGVs at the dealers, air con isnt even standard, thin dealer network

Great base for a camper, read the warranty small print
We had ours converted into a two berth camper and as a base vehicle its hard to beat. The 140 is plenty, it drives like a big car and were getting about 28 mpg with all the conversion weight in. Couple of warnings for anyone thinking of doing the same. The AdBlue system is temperamental - ours threw a warning with a full tank and it turned out to be a NOx sensor, and the heater inside the tank is known for giving up in proper cold weather. Also, because we only really use it spring to autumn, the battery kept going flat on us. The electrics stay awake for a good while after you lock it and the habitation gear drains it as well, so we ended up fitting a solar panel. And the big one - the warranty clock starts when the van leaves the factory, not when you buy it, and a converted camper only gets 2 years rather than 3. Ours had months of it gone before we even collected the thing and nobody mentioned that at the point of sale.
What I liked
Excellent camper base, 140 has plenty of power, drives like a large car, very comfortable, huge load volume, conversions hold their money reasonably well
Could be improved
AdBlue warnings and NOx sensor failures, AdBlue tank heater fails in cold weather, parasitic battery drain when stood for weeks, only 2 years warranty once converted and it runs from the build date not purchase, DPF struggles on short trips
