Shanghai, China (SAIC Motor)
LDV has a complex history, beginning as Leyland DAF Vans in the UK in 1993 following the breakup of Leyland DAF. After going into administration in 2009, the brand was acquired by SAIC Motor, China's largest automotive manufacturer. In some markets, including the UK, the LDV name was retained until recently, while globally the brand has been rebranded as MAXUS. Under SAIC's ownership, LDV/MAXUS has focused on developing modern, efficient vans, with a particular emphasis on electric vehicles.

LDV/MAXUS is an emerging player in the UK commercial vehicle market, offering a range of vans that combine practicality, efficiency, and value. The company has positioned itself as a leader in electric commercial vehicles, with its EV range appealing to businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact.
