Dont buy a diesel one for multi drop, learn from me
Used a 2018 1.5 TDCi on parcel work and the DPF has been the bane of my life. Doing town drops all day it never gets hot enough to finish a regen, mine was trying to start one inside 30 miles. Got an engine light, dealer read a MAF code and changed the sensor, light came back two days later. Same again. Eventually they worked out it was the DPF clogged and that was triggering the MAF code all along. After that it was the vacuum pump, then the EGR and inlet cleaned out, then the turbo because the turbine had actually snapped, then all four injectors. Its still not right and it knocks from cold. If your doing short urban runs all day get the petrol or get something else entirely. Real shame because the van itself is lovely, handles like a Fiesta, comfy seat with loads of adjustment and the 1.5 pulls well when its behaving itself. Economy is 55 mpg which is good going but nowhere near the 70 they claimed.
What I liked
Handles like a Fiesta, comfortable driving position with loads of adjustment, 55 mpg from the 1.5 diesel, cheap to own, holds its value well
Could be improved
DPF cannot complete a regen on urban multi drop, cascading failures - vacuum pump, EGR, turbo and all four injectors, dealer misdiagnosed it as a MAF sensor twice, real economy 55 mpg against a claimed 70, small load bay

New shape is a proper step up, two pallets now
Got a 24 plate 1.5 EcoBlue Courier for the tool hire side of the business. The new one is a big improvement on the old shape - load space is up to 2.9 cubic metres from 2.3, and because theyve angled the rear shock absorbers its 1220mm between the arches so you get two euro pallets in on the floor instead of one. That alone sold it to me. Best handling small van out there without a doubt, its on the Fiesta and Puma platform and you can absolutely tell from the drivers seat. Five stars at NCAP too which was a factor for us. Getting 57 mpg which is actually better than the official WLTP figure, im well pleased with that. My gripe, and its the same gripe everyone has, is the climate controls are all buried in the touchscreen. Trying to change the temperature with gloves on in january is a joke. Bring back physical buttons. Also the front sensors and reversing camera are only on the top trim which feels a bit mean at the price.
What I liked
2.9 cubic metres up from 2.3, two Euro pallets at floor level, best handling small van on sale, five star Euro NCAP, 57 mpg which beats the official figure
Could be improved
Climate control is touchscreen only and unusable with gloves on, front sensors and reversing camera only on the top trim, more tyre noise than youd like, its noticeably bigger than the old one if you wanted something tiny
