2.0 Multijet 130, had it from 90k right up to nearly 200k on general building work. The engine is a proper thing, they go on forever if you look after them and change the oil often - ive read of a taxi doing near 400k on one. Getting a genuine 40 mpg loaded which is about spot on to the official figure, unlike some vans i could name. Turning circle is tight for the size and its stable and agile even with a full load on. What caught me out was the DPF additive. Its not AdBlue, its Eolys, seperate tank underneath, and the ecu doses it by counting how many times you open the fuel cap. So because i was splashing twenty quid in at a time rather than brimming it, i ran the additive out way early and got the risk of filter clogging message and limp mode. Dealer wanted £672 for the tank and pump because the pump is built into it and cant be done on its own. Fill it properly, thats my advice. Otherwise its been the usual stuff, clutch and flywheel at 150k and the steering rack went sloppy around 70k.

Went for the 2.0 BlueHDi 145 in the long XL after pricing up the Vauxhall and the Toyota versions, which are literally the same van off the same production line. The Fiat came out cheapest by a decent margin so that decided it for me. Payload is 1384kg on mine and the Moduwork bulkhead flap gets you 4 metres of load length, which is the main reason i bought it because i carry a lot of long lengths. Good to drive, plenty of poke from the 145, and its quiet. Two things id flag to anyone considering one. The warranty is only 3 years 100k where the Toyota and Vauxhall versions of the same van give you more, so your paying less up front and getting less cover - work out which matters more to you. And rear visibility is poor, i wouldnt have one without the camera. Doing about 44 mpg. Also bear in mind resale on the Fiat badge is historically the weakest of the lot even though its an identical vehicle underneath.
