Used Fiat Doblò Vans for Sale

Ran a 1.6 Multijet 105 Maxi on courier work for about five years. Load space is genuinely good for a small van, twin sliding doors as standard and mine was rated 1000kg which is more than some bigger vans manage. Thats the good bit. The DPF was a constant headache doing town drops all day - warning light, no power, limp mode, and the EGR sooted up twice on top of that. Thats what happens when it never gets a proper run i suppose. Economy is nothing like the brochure either, official is nearly 60 and i was getting 39 to 40, so about three quarters of the claim. Water also runs onto the alternator off the windscreen scuttle which seems like a daft bit of design to me. And when i traded it in the resale was shocking, apparently the worst in its class and i can well beleive it. Fine van in itself, just dont expect anything back at the end.

This is my second Doblo, the first was a 2013 and this ones a 2017, and the facelift made a real difference on the motorway - much less noise and drone at 70 which the old one was genuinely bad for. Ive got the 1.3 Multijet and its exceptionally cheap to run, about 41 mpg day to day without trying. Worth knowing the 1.3 has a timing chain not a belt, which people forget, and chain life seems to be a bit of a lottery from what ive read on the forums, so keep the oil clean and changed often. Handles nicely for a van too, the rear suspension soaks up potholes better than youd expect and its quiet round town. Downsides are the kit list - no front parking sensors even as an option and no blind spot mirrors, which i do miss. Fiat dealers are thin on the ground round here as well. And resale is poor, thats just the reality with these.
